The Model 45 is operated from an Alkaline "D" Cell battery and typically provides 40 + hours of use. Alternatively, a Ray-O-Vac Alkaline "Renewal" batteries (available at the Home Depot and other sources) may be used.  Because it is battery operated and there is no ground cord, the Model 45 is not subject to flashback damage in neon sign processing applications.  It is housed in a handsome plastic case, and has a plastic on-off switch which points its display up at the operator.  The Model 45 will soon be available with an integrated circuit transducer for use as a filling gauge.  A wide range version will be available soon.
