Metal Hose
| HyVac Products has a number of products in
this category. The most prevalent is stainless steel hose grade 321. 321 SS is what is
stock available for vacuum work and is available from 1/4 OD - 6" OD and can come
un-terminated or terminated. We often need to know exactly what you are trying to
accomplish connecting what to what to give you a good price based on termination and
acceptability. Remember the larger the diameter the better the vacuum flow so we also need
your desired diameters. 321 Stainless Steel is known
as an austenitic grade with the following partial metallurgical composition 17-19% Cr,
2.5-5% Ni, .08% C, 2% Mn,
.75% Si, .045% P, .030% S. We believe that in general the
300 series stainless steels are generically referred to as non-magnetic but there may be
some kind of field present that still is considered "generically" non-magnetic.
If magnetism is an issue see our bronze offering.
Generally we are able to braze on location to standard
vacuum fittings. Brazing or welding seams are then hydrostatically tested. We can also
leak test but this cost extra due to time and expense involved in helium leak testing.
We
have a number of standard length
hose sections already terminated in 4/10/20/40 inch lengths
available at very good value. Termination is typically standard
quick release vacuum fittings. |
